How And When It All Began
December '01 - SHAGGY, along with several other artist, spoke out
in a PSA (Public Service Announcement) about AIDS/HIV Prevention.
"The PSA's were recorded in Las Vegas, NV during the Billboard Music
Awards gathering. The filming was produced and directed by Artists
Against AIDS Worldwide. Each artist recorded messages promoting
HIV testing, abstinence, condom use and other healthy behavior
with country-specific tag lines for both television and radio.
The PSAs will be used to influence the behavior of young people
vulnerable to the AIDS virus in PSI AIDS prevention programs
in Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe."

January or February '02 - 'Di' emailed ANYONE to find more
info for the supporters.
February 27, '02 - Kate, Director of PA for PSI emailed 'Di' to share
all the info there is about the PSA and the organizations involved.
Here's what she wrote: "The PSA's were produced by Artist Against
AIDS Worldwide (AAAW) on behalf of PSI and YouthAIDS.
Although the project is complete we are still waiting for approval
from AAAW to start airing the PSA's. Once approved,we plan
to air Shaggy's spots mainly in Africa but do have plans
to distribute the YouthAIDS spot in Northern America and some
parts of Europe. It also depends on networks giving us airtime.
Shaggy looks amazing in the spots and this will go a long
way to help us with our fight against AIDS, especially
amongst the youth of Africa where one child dies
every minute of this disease."
February 27 - March 7, '02 - Several emails about the organization,
the SHAGGY PSA itself and The Studio transpired.
The PSA's weren't quite ready and neither was the Studio...
When inquired BOLDY by 'Di' to host the PSA's
on The Studio, Kate responded, "Absolutely, we would
love for you to do this..."
April 4, '02 - A YA.org banner was submitted to 'Di' for usage
by the 'banner generator'. SORRY, SHAGGY was not
in/on it, so we couldn't put it up.
April 16, '02 - The 'SHAGGY incorporated' banner arrived via email.
Anxiously, 'Di' added it to the main page with THANKS to ALL
involved. Email was sent to verify usage of the ACTUAL
PSA in the Studio.
April 18, '02 - Permission granted by another Official
with PSI/YA.org to host the PSA's is almost secured.
April 30, '02 - Signed, Sealed, and Delivered by Fax.
SHAGGY's Studio.com will be the FIRST supporter hosted
site to showcase SHAGGY's AIDS/HIV Prevention PSA's.
Others may follow, we will ALWAYS be the leader.
May 1 - 3, '02 - Emails to confirm 'viewable media
package is on the way'.
May 3, '02 - 'Viewable media' package arrives to Di's doorstep,
LITERALLY. LOLRH!
May 3 - 11 - Di searches high and low, worldwide - LOLRH!,
to get the BetaCam version on the internet WITH sound.
May 11 - Search is OVER. Sal, my co-worker WILL do it!!!!
YESSSSS!!
May 15 - Sal returns CD-Rom with PSA in Windows
Media Player Format - HUUUUGS To Ya Sal ;)
May 16 - PSA # 1 of many formats arrives on the internet,
F-I-N-A-L-L-Y!!
May 20 - Two viewing formats, 6 connection types added
