SHAGGY chose this hospital because a close friend used the services here and was not able
to get the full care needed for his child. The child had to be transported to another location.
He set out in his heart and mind to do something worthwhile to aid in anyway he could. His first
step was to set up donations in Dec. '00. Proceeds from the Jamaica concert were directed
to the hospital. SHAGGY vowed to later do whatever he could to be of more assistance
in the future. He keep his word by later hosting his own 'Platinum Party'
in Jamaica in March, '01.
Monies from this concert were donated to the hopsital as well. A much needed ventilator
for the children was purchased from the proceeds. Later on, Nigel Lyn, Lighting Director
for SHAGGY, and past and present CREW members donated their time to build a park
and plant trees on the hosptial grounds. This gave the hospital a new area for the children
to continue recover and enjoy GOD's wonderous work. SHAGGY continues
to contribute whenever and whatever he can to the largest and 'ONLY English
speaking hospital in the Carribean'.
He is quoted as saying "...this is going to be my little charity..."

in the continued developemnt of 'SAINT'.

City Of Hope National Medical Center - Duarte, California

In September, a private label party was held in SHAGGY and CREW's honor. The party,
given by Big Yard Music Group and MCA, congratulated their RIAA Diamond
status sales of the 'Hot Shot' CD. An auction was held for this event and the hosptial via Yahoo.
A framed 10 X's Platinum plaque and 2 party invites were auctioned off. The lucky winner
will have the plaque personalized and autographed by the whole crew. Since then SHAGGY
has held a televised event via MTV and VH1 to also raise more funds for this Hospital.
Again, plaques with CD's and album were used. This event took place on Oct. 5th, '01.
